What is the SmartBoard? A big touch screen with interactive tools and multimedia features

Availablility: five classrooms, computer lab, mobile unit.

2 Kinds of SmartBoards - externally projected (permanent mount) and mobile (internally projected)

Hardware: the touch-sensitive screen, a projector (internal or external), a computer, VCR, Surround Sound, other peripherals.

Demonstration of Multimedia Features (DVD, VCR, Cable, Camera). Directions online for reference

Software: SmartTools and Notebook - 2 programs. Can be used without a SmartBoard. Free to download (see download site)

Touch, Write and Save
This tutorial is a quick introduction to the basics of SMART Board software. You will see how to launch an application with your finger, write on the interactive whiteboard and how you can save your notes.
